New ‘Algarve Wines’ official seal launched

The Algarve Wine Commission (CVA) has created an “official seal” for restaurants that serve Algarve wines from at least three local winemakers to display at their premises.

The goal of the initiative is to “value the restaurants that best promote Algarve wines”, the CVA said in a statement to the press.

In order to receive the new ‘Algarve Wines’ seal, restaurants must send their wine menu to CVA ([email protected]) and, if deemed eligible, they will be able to include the seal on their menus as well as display it at the entrance to the premises.

Restaurants boasting the new seal will also be added to the ‘Algarve Wines’ app.

The idea is to help customers identify which restaurants serve Algarve wines but also support the local wine and restaurant sectors by highlighting “the authenticity and quality of their products”, CVA adds.
