Dear Editor,
It makes me so sad and desperate sometimes. Portugal is perhaps the only country left in Europe with space, clean air and endless natural sources and surroundings in one. That is a gift and they should preserve that. If they want to develop tourism, they should do it in a sustainable way and in harmony with nature.
Inspire local farmers and their unemployed children. In doing so, create a sustainable haven for people who want to escape the rat race, pollution and noise.
Again most probably money rules again, when will it stop? We run and develop a sustainable eco tourism unit but will be one of the first to leave when it really happens.
After years and years of hassle, fighting bureaucracy and mentality to get all licenses in order, an extra airport close by would be the limit and for us the time to leave.
