In another classic example of forward-planning, the Bank of Portugal has announced that the new €10 note, coming onto the market today (Tuesday), may not be accepted by all payment machines.
“We cannot guarantee that all machines will accept the note,” administrator Amaral Tomaz confirmed to Lusa. As to toll machines’ ability to handle the new note, “we have the indication that they will”, he said.
