Bárbara Bandeira, Jorge Palma, and Abba tribute band are the headlining acts at Albufeira’s Marina between September 15 and 17.
Albufeira’s Never Ending Summer Festival returns on September 15, 16 and 17 with plenty of entertainment, musical acts, food, wine and sporting activities.
Relocated to the new square in the western part of the Marina, which recently hosted the Hunting, Fishing, Tourism and Nature Fair, the fair starts with musical acts Bárbara Bandeira and Julinho KSD.
The second day of the event sees Portuguese singer Jorge Palma take the stage, along with Ben&Pirates and DJ Wilson Honrado.
As is now tradition, the third day is dedicated to tribute bands, with performances by ABBA Mia, a tribute to ABBA and Big Up — Reggae Tribute Band.
Visitors can also browse handicraft stands, taverns, and street food and sweets stalls. There is also a wine show with a space dedicated to wine tasting, show-cooking and presentations.
Sport is another feature of the Never Ending Summer this year, with sailing, mountain biking, walking and running events.
Also returning is the Classic Car Show, which will occupy part of the Never Ending Summer venue. On the morning of September 17, the fleet of cars heads out on a tour through the streets of Albufeira.
The Never Ending Summer Festival is organised by the Marina de Albufeira “to bring the Marina closer to the city and its resident population while promoting the destination to visitors”, says the organisation. “The message is that, here, summer never ends, and there are always attractive ways to experience Albufeira throughout the year”.
The line-up is yet to be finalised. Further announcements will soon be made on the Festival’s Instagram and Facebook pages or the website www.neverendingsummer.pt.
Never Ending Summer is free of admission.
