FOLLOWING THE success of the Network Christmas Fayre on December 1, Dr Janice Russell, the president of the association of businesswomen, presented a cheque for more than 2,000 euros to Margarida Cardoso, director of the Lar Bom Samaritano children’s home in Alvor.
Lar Bom Samaritano houses 36 children and young people in need through bereavement or breakdown in the home. The funds will go towards a much needed minibus so that the children can be transported safely on outings.
