NEET: Government launches new programme to help young unemployed

Plugged as a €700 incentive, a new government programme has been launched to help up to 315 of the country’s 300,000 NEETs (not in education, employment or training) get onto the employment ladder. Put simply, winning candidates will get €700 a month for six months to come up with winning business ideas. The programme is being run by the IPDJ (Portuguese institute of Sport and Youth).

For further information, young people between the ages of 18-29 should access this site (click here), filling out the requisite form before March 6.
