Portugal’s association of foreign residents, afpop, is again holding tax seminars in association with euroFinesco to help those who need to meet their tax reporting obligations.
The afpop tax seminars, now held for the 18th year, will address a number of changes regarding Portuguese IRS this year as Portugal has been forced to adjust its budgets to meet bailout requirements.
Attendees will learn about their individual obligations for presenting their tax declarations to the Finanças, what personal allowances are available, ways to submit annual declarations and about the penalties for either false declaration or late submissions.
Presenters from euroFinesco will provide impartial advice about all matters to do with individual taxation and will answer questions about items that are considered of general interest in an open forum. They will also be on hand to give more specific advice on individual cases after the group session has been completed.
For those people who cannot attend but would like the information, informative packs will once again be available after the event.
The dates for the seminars are:
Wednesday, January 29 at Boavista Golf Club, Lagos
Friday, January 31 at the Vila Galé Hotel, Tavira
Tuesday, February 4 at the Conrad Hotel, Quinta do Lago
All seminars will start at 11am – registration and coffee from 10.30am.
Attendance at the seminars will cost €15 for afpop members (€5 for a second member per booking) and €30 for non-members, payable on the day.
