POPULAR CLOTHING store, Zara, recalled a line of handbags after a customer in the UK complained that a swastika had been stitched on one corner.

The discovery came as a surprise to shop assistants as well as the company, which claimed no knowledge of how they got there. They were allegedly made in India and the bags were embroidered with commonly used Hindu symbols, one of which was later adopted by the Nazis and called the swastika.
