A 33-year-old Turkish crew member sailing on a merchant ship that was travelling 53km off the coast of Sagres had to be rescued by the Portuguese Navy and taken to hospital on Monday (September 28) after he started suffering “strong abdominal pain”. The man was taken to Faro Hospital where his condition was reported to be “stable”.
