Nave do Barão celebrates centuries-old wine tradition

Some of the Algarve’s best wineries will be taking part in the 7th edition of Nave do Barão’s Wine Festival, which will be held on Saturday, March 18 in the small village in Loulé starting at 12 noon.

Among the confirmed winemakers are Adega da Tôr, Adega do Cantor, Quinta do Canhoto, Quinta Rosa-JAAP, Sul Composto, Quinta da Malaca, and Monte da Casteleja.

A “considerable number of regional winemakers” will also be taking part in a Homemade Wine Contest, in which they will showcase their best homemade wines. This contest will include winemakers from Nave do Barão, a village with a wine tradition which dates back to the 13th century.

The event will also feature a Handicraft and Regional Gastronomy Fair, which will be held simultaneously, and will end with a Fado show featuring local singers.
