Naturist laws

A new naturist law has been approved by the government.

It will increase from 750 to 1,500 metres the distance of naturist beaches from buildings and religious sites, and allows the Algarve Naturist Club (CNA) to create one more naturist area in every county in the region.

CNA President Alváro Campos said: “The Government has a period of 180 days to make a list of beaches that will meet the requirements to be classified as naturist areas.”

The Algarve already has two official naturist beaches – Homem Nu in Tavira and Adegas in Aljezur.
