A recent photographic competition launched by Lagos Câmara aimed to raise awareness about the importance of protecting the environment.
Entitled “Lagos is Natural”, the competition attracted dozens of professional and amateur photographers from across the country who captured the best natural aspects of the council.
Categories were Lagos is Natural, Caring for the Environment, The Sea and The Sea (Youth Prize).

During the prize giving ceremony held at Vila Galé Lagos Hotel, Lagos Vice President António Marreiros spoke of the success achieved through the Blue Flag campaign and beach clean-up actions in the council as well as the “various prizes won by Lagos and its beaches as a tourist destination par excellence”.
