The National Strategy for Inclusion of People with Deficiencies which entered into force on September 1 last year and included 70 measures for conclusion, or at least to have been started, by 2021, has failed on almost all points, writes Correio da Manhã today. The plan sought to create 30 partnerships with municipalities to “eliminate architectonic barriers in public spaces – an objective that has not been achieved. Guidelines for the prevention of violence still do not exist, while diagnosis on employability has also not moved forwards”.
