National Gallery hosts Paula Rego tribute exhibition

Work that late Portugal-born artist Paula Rego produced as an artist-in-residence at the National Gallery in the early 1990s is on show for the first time at the museum, along with the 15th-century painting by Carlo Crivelli that inspired her. A statement by the National Gallery says the exhibition “invites visitors to draw direct comparisons” between the works and is intended as a tribute to Rego who died on recently at the age of 87. The show runs until October 23.
