PORTUGAL’S 30th Feira Nacional do Cavalo, a national equestrian fair, is currently taking place at Largo do Arneiro in Golegã, Santarém, (just above Lisbon) and is due to run until Sunday, November 13.
Around one million visitors are expected at this popular event that displays the best of the equestrian world amid a passionate and traditional atmosphere. This is the largest and most typical fair of its type, bringing together 46 stables and 43 exhibitors this year. Around the central display ring, which will be the setting for a series of horse shows, visitors can find stalls offering clothing, riding accessories, books, typical gastronomy, paintings and photography, among other items.
