Faro Municipal Museum will be hosting an exhibition of paintings. The inspiration of these works of art is Nano Cubism by German artist Rita Adolff-Wollfarth and the exhibition will be open to the public from August 29 to September 29.
NanoKubismus, the title of the exhibit, was previously shown at the Museum of Modern Art in Shanghai.
A series of Nano Cubist paintings will be on show, marking the artist’s attempts at Cubism’s modern movement. In Cubist artworks, objects are broken up and reassembled in an abstract form as the artist depicts the subject from a multitude of viewpoints.
Through Nano Cubism, the artist experiments with a complex temporal and spatial simultaneity, said to have never before been tried by a German painter.
A musical trio playing Portuguese guitars will entertain guests on the opening night.
The museum is located at Largo D. Afonso III, 14, Faro.
