THIS SEASON, there is no need to travel to New York, London, Paris or Milan for your new wardrobe! Instead, for fashion at affordable prices, come to the Nandi’s Nearly New Clothes Show on Sunday, October 2, from noon till 4pm, at Jardim das Dunas Health and Leisure Centre in Meia Praia, Lagos.
The Nandi Fund was originally founded in 1996, with the main purpose of providing food, sterilisation and veterinary treatment for stray and abandoned animals across the Algarve. In 2002, it became a registered charity and now is the only local organisation that raises funds to help and support other animal charities and sanctuaries.
So, if you’re having a clear-out and fancy seeing your cast-offs on the catwalk, take any donations to the Nandi charity shop, located by the Galp station at the Ship Roundabout in Lagos – open 10am till 4pm daily. Good quality clothes, books, furniture and household items are always needed to enable the fund’s good work to continue. Volunteers who have time to spare are also very welcome.
Tickets for the show cost 15 euros for adults and 10 euros for children under 12 and include a buffet lunch, complimentary drink and a special door prize ticket. There will also be a bazaar of stalls, music and a raffle. Tickets are available from the Nandi shop and Terra da Harmonia health store in Luz.
