My Path by Carolien van Leusden

In this inspiring emotional account, Carolien tells how, with conventional medicine backed by alternative therapies and spiritual guidance, she has chosen a path through the nightmare of cancer and is still with us to enjoy the power of now!

She takes us on her special journey in which adapting her diet, spring-cleaning the clutter from her life and ‘awareness transformation’ have all played a part.

A lot has been written about cancer, particularly breast cancer, but there aren’t many stories about surviving secondary breast cancer.  Indeed six months prior to publishing this book, Carolien was told she had cancer for the third time and, with her usual determination and aplomb, she is busy playing golf, painting, promoting her book, caring for her children and family and generally enjoying life and looking fantastic.

Carolien has been a resident of Portugal for many years and lives in Luz, near Lagos, with her partner and two children.

You can meet Carolien and buy a signed copy of her book on the Griffin Bookshop stand number 62 at the Better Living in Portugal (BLiP) exhibition in Portimão on Sunday, September 27 between 2.30pm and 4.30pm. My Path is available in English, Portuguese and Carolien’s native Dutch.
