Swedish band Europe is to headline at this year’s annual Faro motorbike rally festival.
The largest biker meeting in Europe, now in its 28th year, will be held between July 16 and 19 at a site on the outskirts of Faro. However, visitors to the city will be able to see thousands of bikes as they take part in processions through Faro throughout the festival dates.
More than 30,000 people are expected to take part in the rally this year and tickets, which are only available to buy on the gate, cost 40 euros per person.
Those purchasing a ticket will receive an official goody bag with t-shirts and merchandise, camping for the entire festival, access to all the exhibitors and the use of a free bus service between the site and Faro city centre.
Those visiting the festival will also have the chance to watch other live acts including the Italian Iron Maiden tribute band Children of the Damned, Portuguese singer David Fonseca and Spanish act Hora Zulu.
