Muscled police presence in ‘problem neighbourhood’ near Lisbon

The Bairro de Navegadores in Oeiras, near Lisbon, saw police pelted with stones and threatened with acid on Tuesday evening as they attempted to ‘check’ locals were complying with measures of confinement. Last night, the PSP mounted what has been described as a ‘muscled presence’ to “prevent further confrontations and try and identify those responsible for the acid attack’. Say reports, in total, 35 people were identified “for diverse offences”.
