Municipal market revamped

São Brás municipal market is undergoing renovation works, due to last until the first quarter of 2010, at a cost of more than 860,000 euros.

During the work, the market is being held in the town’s olive press, which has been specially prepared to receive stall holders.

The modernisation works to be carried out on the municipal market, which opened in 1968, include replacing the stalls, creating a food and beverage area, renewing the sanitary facilities and the conditions for loading and unloading stock.

The exterior of the building will also be renovated.
