Mundialito Color, a sporting event advertised as the “craziest and most fun and colourful day on the planet”, will be taking place this Saturday (June 14) in Faro, starting at 7pm.
The event consists of a 5.2km route – starting and ending at Jardim Manuel Bivar – which can be completed either on foot or by bicycle. It is open to anyone willing to participate, no matter their age or physical condition.
Anyone interested in participating must sign up at the Mundialito Color stand at Jardim Manuel Bivar by June 14, 5pm. There will also be a rental bike stand available.
As the name suggests, colour plays a big part in the event as coloured powder will be playfully sprayed onto participants throughout the route, as well as during the musical performance of Portuguese DJ Diego Miranda, which will greet participants upon their arrival back at Jardim Manuel Bivar.
Tickets cost €15 for the general public, €14 for students, €5 for children between six and 12, and €20 for the VIP ticket, which grants access to the private VIP area during the musical performance/after-party.
All tickets include a running bag, t-shirt, a bag of coloured powder (75 grams) and free bike parking.
The event is organised by E.I.F Ricardo Godoy, an Argentine company represented by Regras do Jogos-Eventos Lda in Portugal, and will also be taking place in August in Monte Gordo (August 9) and Lagoa (August 30).
