SIX PORTUGUESE tourists were mugged last Friday night after their minivan was intercepted on the road by armed gunmen in the Brazilian state of Recife.
The group arrived at Recife International Airport on a flight from Lisbon, where they hailed a minivan to take them to their hotel. Along the way the vehicle was stopped by gunmen.
The thieves made off with all of their baggage and their guide’s personal belongings. The group contacted the military police, who took statements before escorting them to their hotel.
