MP wants Discoveries panels removed from parliamentary State Room

Joacine Moreira, the former MP for Livre (now no longer with the party) is pushing for parliament to accept the woke agenda. She wants seven large painted panels depicting the Portuguese Discoveries removed from the Salão Nobre (state room) at the Assembleia da República (parliament) on the basis that they “normalise the subjugation of other people and cultures and the associated violence, thus glorifying the Portuguese colonial past”. Ms Moreira’s recommends that the government “contextualises historic criticism” and takes the panels down.
