Communist PCP Member of Parliament, Paulo Sá, is this week meeting with several cultural agents from the region – the Algarve Theatre Company ACTA, Algarve Orchestra, Lagos Dance Academy and the Adágio Choir Group from Portimão. Sá criticises the government for seeing culture “only as merchandise and not as a human right” and wants to learn more about the problems faced by cultural agents in the Algarve. He admits this is an area seriously lacking government support.
