THE GERMAN Clinic in Carvoeiro (near Lagoa) has enlarged its range of treatments. Since May this year, the clinic is able to offer treatment for orthopaedic diseases.
Experienced German doctors, MD Jörn Griesemann and MD Hendrik Luths, work as orthopaedic surgeons in practices in Germany, after having worked for numerous years in German hospitals in general surgery, hand surgery and orthopaedic surgery. Both are specialised in the field of chiropractic and sports medicine.
Dr. Luths is responsible for a German premier league team as a medical advisor and Dr. Griesemann is specially trained for osteology. Both doctors hold diplomas for acupuncture, a therapy that is used not only for orthopaedic diseases, but also for numerous other affections.
Treatments at the clinic are offered in the entire range of the orthopaedic field, from arthritis of the column and joints, the treatment of osteoporosis, diseases of tendons and muscles, to sports injuries and rheumatic diseases. Besides, treatment for acute as well as chronic pain (for example migraine) is offered.
