“My family have been helping families and businesses enjoy the sunshine for over 20 years”, said Chris Winstanley who with wife Melanie own and run Moveison Outdoor Living. “Mum and dad started selling garden furniture from their patio back in the mid 1990’s and from that our business has continued to grow despite what the recession had to throw at it.”
Their extensive showroom is situated on the EN125 just east of Lagos. Inside and outside you’ll find a large and extensive range of outdoor furniture, gas and charcoal barbecues, outdoor kitchens, patio heaters, shading solutions, outdoor rugs, blankets and a whole array of outdoor accessories and wall art.
The company prides itself on excellent service and on trying to go the extra mile to exceed their client´s expectations.
“We work with both private and business clients to create an ‘outdoor room’ by bringing the inside out”, added Melanie, “we have great long term business relationships with both corporate clients and large suppliers who are happy to work exclusively with us here in Portugal.”
Moveison’s showroom is like a ‘tardis’ or Aladdin´s cave, as it’s so much bigger than you first think, having been extended four times over the years to hold the ever increasing and changing ranges. Add to this the nearby and large purpose built warehouse, and one knows immediately the company can hold stock and fulfil orders very quickly.
“Many of our clients are ‘time poor’ and see something in the showroom, or online at our website, and want it delivered as soon as possible. Having our large showroom and our own delivery team means we can do it on the same or next day, even during the busiest times”, said Chris.
The current team at Moveison Outdoor Living have worked together for between 12 and 18 years. They have English, Portuguese and French speakers in the company and they’ve even been on foreign language courses to improve their skills over the last couple of winters.
“Our clients read like a league of nations and we find it really exciting meeting and working with people from all over the world, helping them find comfort in their gardens” added Melanie.
