JOSÉ MOURINHO has shown interest in investing in what is to be the Algarve, and Portugal’s, first six star hotel.
The high-profile football manager will be in the Algarve today (Friday) to meet with the Imocom investments’ president Alejandro Martins.
Currently under construction, the Hilton Group’s Conrad Palácio Resort and Spa project in Quinta do Lago will be officially unveiled in London on April 30. Mourinho decided to visit the site in order to familiarise himself with the project prior to the presentation.
Due to the significance of Mourinho´s investment and his prominence as a celebrity and personality, Imocom were happy to accommodate his request to view the project in the Algarve.
The new resort will cost almost 89 million euros and will generate 900 jobs. The hotel and grounds cover nearly 31,000 square metres and will comprise of 160 rooms and a further 115 apartments in the complex. It is due to be completed by 2009.
