The first Monchique Open Trail will take place this Saturday (November 23), giving people a chance to walk or run through the beauty of Monchique’s countryside.
The event, organised by Monchique Resort & Spa, will be divided into an 8km walk and two 13km and 23km races.
The idea is to celebrate the hotel’s first year under the management of Discovery Hotel Management and its new emphasis on promoting outdoor and sports activities.
There will also be a prize-giving ceremony and live music.
People can sign up via email ([email protected]) or online at www.crono.aaalgarve.org. Cost is €5 for the walk and €20 for the trail. Proceeds from the walk will go to the Monchique Bombeiros.
