Seven children and three adults were injured this morning when two school buses were involved in an accident on the A1 near Lisbon. With none of the injuries described as serious, victims were taken to the capital’s Santa Maria and São José Hospitals. The buses were both on their way into Lisbon from schools in Mação and Oliveira de Azeméis. Traffic chaos built up almost instantly with long tailbacks.
