The Moscow Piano Quartet (MPQ) will be holding a concert on Sunday, October 26, at 5pm, at Quintinha da Música at Covas da Prata, Santo Estevão near Tavira.
MPQ was founded in Moscow in 1989 by pianist Alexei Eremine and cellist Guenrikh Elessine and is today one of the foremost chamber music ensembles based in Portugal. Keeping the imprint of its master Valentin Berlinsky – cellist of the Borodin Quartet – the MPQ has followed the aim of performing all the works written for violin, viola, cello and piano from the classical period to the present day.
