SOME of Morocco’s finest works of art are soon to be on display in Faro as part of the Capital of Culture 2005 activities. Several exhibitions are to be mounted around the city, consisting of paintings and “other artistic treasures”, with the Moroccan Minister of Culture expected to be in attendance for the inauguration of the exhibitions. The announcement was made following a recent meeting between Faro Capital of Culture director, António Rosa Mendes, and Moroccan ambassador, Samir Arrour. Watch this space for exhibition dates to be announced.
