Faro’s City Council and Turismo de Portugal have created a new cycle of three free training courses for tourism workers scheduled for November and December.
In partnership with Turismo de Portugal, Faro’s City Council has announced additional training courses for tourism workers. The training will be carried out at the Algarve Hotel and Tourism School (EHTA) and will cover “Accessible Tourism”, “Floors: Organisation and Service”, and “Service and Excellence” for two months, starting next Monday.
“The programme, which began in 2022 with a partnership agreement, within the scope of the ‘Reactivate Tourism – Build the Future’ Plan, aims to broaden and deepen employee training in the sector (entrepreneurs, managers, intermediate and operational staff)”, explained a Faro City Council spokesperson.
The City Council added that the training courses were designed based on the results of a survey carried out to establish workers’ needs in various service areas, namely hotels, local accommodation, tourist entertainment and restaurants.
