AIR TRAFFIC at Faro airport in 2007 increased by 7.5 per cent from the previous year, signalling renewed hope of strong tourism development.
Nearly 5.5 million people arrived at Faro airport last year, mainly from the UK, which represented a market share of nearly 60 per cent of tourists, while many other European countries also showed significant increases.
easyJet was named top commercial carrier, with a growth of 17.4 per cent and around 128,000 more passengers than the previous year.
