Weather warnings in place on Portugal’s beaches

More than 40 incidents on mainland since midnight as weather worsens

More than 40 incidents due to bad weather in mainland Portugal have been recorded on the website of the National Emergency and Civil Protection Authority ANEPC since 00.00 hours today. Most of the incidents have been in north and central regions, involving the falling of trees and other structures. Mainland Portugal is feeling the effects of depression Ciáran, which is unleashing its full force on the British Isles. Seven mainland districts are on red warnings until Friday mid-afternoon, with strong winds, high seas expected.
