IN AN attempt to improve the quality of life for the young people living in the Loulé borough, the Câmara has recently announced that it will create seven new recreational areas for children at various locations.
The new leisure areas will be in Loulé (Urbanização Campina de Cima, in the area adjacent to Praceta Joaquim Pires), Quarteira (Avenida de Ceuta and Avenida Sá Carneiro), Almancil (Rua Manuel Cabrita) and Boliqueime (Rua do Pavilhão). These new play zones are for use by children under 12 years of age and will include some play equipment and an area for group games. Each will have a slide, among other apparatus, and the recreational areas will be given a special synthetic surface to provide cushioning should children fall while playing. This investment by the council has been valued at 200,000 euros.
