Construction continues to be one of the sectors hardest hit by unemployment.
According to the Association of Construction and Public Works Companies (AECOPS), there was an increase of 49 per cent in the number of unemployed in the construction sector at the end of January.
There was also a drop of about five per cent in cement consumption in January and February.
