More lynxes

Four Iberian lynxes arrived at the reproduction centre in Silves on November 4 to join the three that had previously arrived.

Two males called Enebro and Ébano and two females called Espiga and Era, all born last year, were brought to the Algarve from the La Olivilla reproduction centre in Jaen, Andalucia, Spain.

All four lynxes were given a live rabbit, which they hunted and ate. According to a statement from the national nature conservation and biodiversity institute (ICNB), this is a sign that they are adapting to their home.
