Further headaches have come with the fact that former ally, Pinto Moreira (now dropped as a PSD MP because of his involvement in an investigation into corruption) has returned to parliamentary duties nonetheless, sitting on various parliamentary committees as an independent. Pinto Moreira’s mere presence in parliament “prejudices Montenegro’s leadership”, say observers.
