THE GNR station in downtown Albufeira will now only be open between 9.30am and 5.30pm in order to have more GNR patrolling the town’s streets at night.
Two out of the three GNR personnel who would normally be at the station will now be carrying out street patrols.
This decision was taken because of the very few cases that were handled by the station out of hours.
In summer and during large events such as New Year’s Eve, the station will be open 24 hours a day.
