The National Health Service (SNS) is set to hire a total of 437 doctors, the majority for health units in the Algarve, Alentejo and hinterland regions in the north and centre of Portugal.
The vacancies are aimed at doctors who completed their specialisation courses in May. By June, 114 family doctors had already been hired.
