More awards for Vale do Lobo

LUXURY ALGARVE resort Vale do Lobo made another mark in history at the glittering Homes Overseas Awards 2006 ceremony, recently held at London’s Dorchester Hotel, collecting five awards.

Vale do Lobo scooped gold for Best Portuguese Villa and Best Landscape Design, as well as silver and bronze awards for Best Portuguese Apartment, Best Luxury Development and Best Use of Marketing.

The Homes Overseas Awards, regarded by many as the “Oscars” of the international property industry, endeavours to promote the highest standards of professionalism in the industry. Organised by Homes Overseas magazine in conjunction with British Airways and The Daily Telegraph, the scheme involves a judging process whereby a panel of 33 expert architects, landscape and interior designers, surveyors and property journalists travel around the world to assess developments from competing destinations.

The gold award for Best Portuguese Villa was won for a recently built, ‘unflinchingly contemporary’ home, further described by the judges as “a stunning, bespoke-designed, four-bedroom family residence perched high up on the Vale do Lobo estate with wonderfully picturesque views across to the sea and cliffs.”

As well as a further gold medal for Best Landscape Design, Vale do Lobo was also recognised in the Best Portuguese Apartment category, for the Royal Golf Development.

These accolades build on Vale do Lobo’s success in the Homes Overseas Awards 2005 and 2004, when the resort won Developer of the Year, as well as gold awards for Best Luxury Development, Best Portuguese Villa and Best Portuguese Apartment.
