After 12 years “behind the chemist” in Montechoro, Albufeira, the Amigos dos Gatos do Algarve (AGA) charity shop has moved to new premises.
The new shop is now 20 metres away from the old premises, at Edifício Isermar, next to Pastelaria Bora Bora.
AGA’s purpose is the sterilisation of feral cats.
Lesley Normington from the charity shop said: “Thousands of feral cats have been sterilised in the last 12 years and the work never stops.
“AGA also has feeding programmes for feral and street cats who would otherwise go hungry. Around 200 cats are on the ‘canteen’ list at the moment!”
AGA is looking for donations of food, money for the sterilisation of street cats and to pay for their vet bills, items to sell at the shop and volunteers to help the cause.
