Monte Rei Golf & Country Club in Vila Nova de Cacela is hosting a number of “very special events” at the resort between Saturday, July 22 and August 12 to celebrate its first 10 years in business.
“We have prepared a series of events that will highlight our golf and gastronomy,” says general manager Salvador Lucena.
‘Guest Chef’ dinners will see a number of Michelin-starred chefs preparing mouth-watering dishes at the Vistas restaurant.
Chef Vítor Matos from Antiqvvm in Porto will be the guest chef on July 22, followed by chef Jordi Esteve (Nectari, Barcelona) on July 29 and chef Henrique Sá Pessoa (Alma and Tapisco, Lisbo) on the weekend of August 11-12.
Four themed dinners will also be held at the resort’s second restaurant, Veranda.
On July 30 and August 6, Algarvean ingredients will take centre stage while on August 3 and 10 the dinners will focus on Indian cuisine.
Monte Rei is also hosting two anniversary golf tournaments on August 1 (stableford format) and 10 (Texas scamble).
