Monkey pox cases in Portugal reach 74

With assurances that the strain identified in Portugal is a mild one – with no one this far showing any signs of serious illness – authorities are still keen to keep people up to date with the advance of monkey pox through the country. There are now 74 men apparently infected (most if not all men who have sex with men). The EU meantime has agreed to purchase further variola (small pox) vaccines and anti-virals. (The UK’s ‘off guardian’ website has attempted to put ‘monkey pox madness’ into perspective).
