MOSQUITOES WILL be under surveillance in Portugal during 2008.
A monitoring study has been agreed between the Direcção-Geral de Saúde, the national health authority, and Instituto Nacional de Saúde Dr. Ricardo Jorge, a research laboratory on public health matters.
The surveillance programme aims to better recognise the possible viruses that can transmit diseases to man and threaten public health.
