Money, it’s a crime

Pink Floyd are reportedly filing a lawsuit against record label giant EMI surrounding allegations of unpaid royalties.

The band, famed for their acclaimed album Dark Side of the Moon, first signed to the label in 1967 and are now claiming that EMI have failed to deliver royalties to the band for sales of their back catalogue.

The legal wrangle is reported to have begun during negotiations with the new owners of EMI, Terra Firma, who purchased the label in 2007 and are now looking to cut costs according to industry insiders.
