The first of a new series of monthly Art & Craft markets in aid of animal charity A Dog’s Life will take place on Sunday, March 6 in front of the Moncarapacho parish council between 10am and 3pm.
The market will be held on the first Sunday of every month and will feature a variety of arts and crafts. There will also be coffee and cakes, live music and “fun for the whole family”.
“Every item sold has been made lovingly by our talented team,” says A Dog’s Life, a dog rescue sanctuary in Eastern Algarve which provides refuge to over 20 dogs and puppies.
“Some are fostered by rescuers or associations to get them ready for rehoming, some have been adopted by us as we feel that the best place for them is here, some are even on retirement enjoying the sunny days and land to roam whilst being tucked up every evening on a sofa or dog bed in a warm home,” the dog sanctuary says on its Facebook page.
However, the Covid-19 pandemic has had a strong impact on A Dog’s Life which now needs help to “support animals with food, medical care and other things like special food, pee pads and bedding”.
