Monarch announces more flights from Lisbon to Gatwick

MONARCH SCHEDULED, the low-cost airline, is adding three additional flights from Lisbon to London Gatwick to its summer schedule, meaning there are now 10 weekly flights available to the English capital. Monarch is also re-introducing the daily flight between Faro and Birmingham, thereby increasing the total number of flights to the UK to 35 per week.

“We are very satisfied with the increase in our services from Lisbon and also with the re-introduction of the Faro-Birmingham route for the summer,” said Tim Jeans, the CEO of regular services of Monarch. “ There are positive signs, that not only is the state of Portuguese tourism good, but there are also increasing numbers of passengers who travel on business between Portugal and the United Kingdom”.

Their flight prices include a free daily newspaper, a refreshment service, hot towel service, a varied selection of hot and cold meals and no additional payment for baggage check-in. Seats can be pre-reserved to avoid last minute inconvenience, providing you pay an extra supplement of eight euros per seat, or if you prefer, you can pre-reserve one of 48 ‘extra-seats’ which have 15cm of extra space for 25 euros per person. Prices from Lisbon to London begin at 49 euros one-way, while prices from Faro to Birmingham start from 59 euros one-way.
