A campaign to collect used orthopaedic equipment to respond to the increasing needs of the poorer residents in the Vila Real de Santo António area has been launched by the Câmara.
The initiative, running during November and December, aims to deliver orthopaedic aids to residents who suffer from temporary or permanent reduced mobility and who do not have the financial means to purchase or hire them.
The Technical Support Bank (BAT) at the Câmara hopes to increase its stock of orthopaedic equipment to support not only individuals but also institutions.
